SEND Leadership network : no charge

SEND Classroom Practice workshops : £25 per delegate per session

SEND twilights for Parents, NQTs and others new to SEND : no charge

 

SEND Leadership Network

This half-termly network provides a professional development and networking opportunity for all senior colleagues with responsibility for the strategic development of SEN provision and outcomes in their school, academy or college. It is a forum for SENCOs, Headteachers, Principals and Governors to be updated on the latest local and national information and statutory requirements relating to provision and outcomes for learners with special educational needs. It is also recognised as a valuable opportunity to share effective practice in the leadership and management of special educational needs.

These networks will be held at the Bournemouth Learning Centre from 3-4.30pm on the following dates:

2017: 21st September and 16th November

2018: 25th January and 22nd March

2018: 17th May and 21st June

 

SEND Network for Teaching Assistants (TAs)

A professional development and networking opportunity for TAs and other support staff. You will be updated on the latest information relating to provision and outcomes for learners with SEND. As well as opportunities to look at resources and share good practice, we will use these workshops to problem solve day-to-day challenges relating to supporting children and young people with SEND.

These networks will be held at the Bournemouth Learning Centre from 3:45-5.00pm on the following dates:

2018: Monday 12th March and Wednesday 14th June 

 

Primary Mainstream Maths

This network is a forum for mathematics subject leaders and other teachers with an interest in mathematics. This is a termly meeting for schools in the Bournemouth area. It will provide a link with maths hubs operating in the region and provides a professional development and networking opportunity led by Les Ruddick and Simon Lennon. You will be updated on the latest local and national information relating to provision and outcomes for delivering quality first Maths teaching in mainstream schools.

2017: Tuesday 17th October

2018: Tuesday 20th February, Tuesday 22nd May

 

SEND Maths

A professional development and networking opportunity for teachers working pupils whose attainment in Maths is challenged by a specific learning difficulty or by a more generic learning difficulty. You will be updated on the latest local and national information relating to provision and outcomes for delivering quality first Maths teaching in mainstream and special schools.

Time and location: 4:00 - 5:30pm,  Bournemouth Learning Centre

2017: Tuesday 21st November

2018: Tuesday 20th March, Tuesday 19th June

Cost: £25 per person, per session
